LeadingAge Oregon Annual Conference Features Topics that Align with LiveWell Core Principles

The event was held at the picturesque Eagle Crest Resort, bringing together mission-driven individuals and organizations dedicated to making a positive impact. The conference offered a range of excellent educational sessions, with a particular focus on staff retention and preventing burnout.

Conference keynote speaker, Del Gilbert, delivered a compelling presentation on employee engagement. Gilbert emphasized the importance of being the best boss your employees have ever had, highlighting strategies for fostering accountability, emotional intelligence, and effective communication, all part of the LiveWell Method™ Training.

He also stressed the significance of developing a growth mindset and provided a powerful takeaway: learn to be friendly, build rapport, and prioritize others by asking questions and remembering names. As Maya Angelou once said, "People won't remember exactly what you did or said. But they will always remember how you made them feel." Del's insights resonated deeply with attendees, reminding us of the profound impact we can have on others through genuine connection and positive interactions.

Attendees Expressed Interest in LiveWell's Upcoming June Learning Cohort

Our summer cohort, which starts June 1st, is currently oversubscribed. However, we are always taking applications for future cohorts. If you are interested in securing the benefits of The LiveWell Method™ for your community, click the link below to sign up for an upcoming learning collaborative.

Why should you join a learning cohort and do LiveWell?

Because it helps you:

  • Develop more effective team leadership and communication skills

  • Improve critical thinking skills and collaboration among teams

  • Improve direct care and quality of life for all

  • Enhance staff morale and employee retention

LiveWell also helps retain staff and build community. Communities that do LiveWell have a 60% decrease in staff turnover. LiveWell also improves the quality of life for staff AND residents. Residents have fewer falls and fewer medication errors, while staff experience fewer workplace injuries.

LiveWell communities also reduce their costs: reduced falls and increased staff retention help communities save an average of $135,900 annually.

Thankful for the beauty of Oregon!
